Thanks to the W.D.C. Harvey Scholar Program at Hampton University, I began the summer with a 10-day, all-expenses-paid service trip to Panama. We engaged in recycling, mentoring youth, and teaching English. Visiting an after-school program was especially impactful, reminding me of my time in "A Better Chance” and the importance of educational support. This transformative trip bridged cultural divides, fostered a global sense of community, and highlighted the impact of small acts of kindness. Thank you to the W.D.C. Harvey Scholar Program for this incredible opportunity.
Attending the ForbesBlk Summit in Atlanta was an inspiring experience, offering invaluable insights and networking opportunities with influential figures like Fantasia, Russell Westbrook, Kirk Franklin, and Jermaine Dupri. Sessions like "Titan Talk: The Future of Black Wealth" and "Generation CEO: Empowering Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age" were pivotal for my entrepreneurial journey.
Blue World Travel, an all-black travel group, hosts the annual Festival At Sea cruise each summer, raising funds for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). This year, I volunteered for the UNCF Bachelor Auction and, with my partner, helped raise $2,300 for the organization.
